Pegram adds two wheels

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Foremost Insurance Group along with Tampa Bay Jaw Surgery and the AIM Autosport automobile racing team have announced that Larry Pegram will compete this weekend in the Star Mazda Championship Series at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ.

Although a longtime star on the AMA motorcycle circuit, this will be Pegram’s first appearance in a professional auto race.

“I’m excited to get behind the wheel, I’ve never raced a car in competition,” said Pegram. “I have to thank all my sponsors, especially Walt Bowlins from Tampa Bay Jaw Surgery who set this whole thing up, the Foremost guys jumped right on board and the AIM Autosport team has been great. All that’s left is to get on the track and see what happens.” 

The Star Mazda Championship series is one of the top, open-wheel car competitions in North America, featuring standing starts and wheel-to-wheel racing at 150 mph. For more information, visit www.starmazda.com.

After competing in the Star Mazda series, Pegram will find himself in more familiar settings as he pilots his Ducati 1198R at his home track of Mid-Ohio, in the next round of AMA Superbike, held July 16-18 in Lexington, OH.
