Industry leaders announce Toronto plans

TORONTO, ON -- The Toronto Motorcycle Show is offering riding enthusiasts a head start on the latest and greatest rides for the 2011 season. This year’s premiere show promises an exceptional turnout, showcasing new and exciting products from more than 150 exhibitors including Harley-Davidson, BRP, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory, Yamaha and more.

Centrally-located at The Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Dec. 10-12 the show offers visitors a chance to scope out the biggest and best in motorcycles, ATVs and scooters before they hit sales floors across the country.

“December is always an exciting time for the motorcycle industry,” said Darryl Bond, Show Manager. “Two-wheel enthusiasts wait all year to see what new and exciting products will be announced from these well known manufacturers.”

Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada will display a variety of new bikes including the SuperLow, XR1200X and CVO Road Glide Ultra model (limited-production custom bike) as part of its expansive 2011 line. In addition, three new updated 2011 CVO models have been added, including the Street Glide, Softail Convertible and Ultra Classic Electra Glide model, with new paint schemes and features.

BRP Canada will feature two new bikes including the 2011 Spyder RT Limited roadster and the 2011 Can-Am Commander line-up. The five model line-up offers cutting edge designs and includes the Commander 800, Commander 800 XT, 1000, 1000 XT and r 1000 X models. In addition, Can-Am Spyder Parts, Accessories and Riding Gear collections are improved and more dynamic for 2011.

Victory Motorcycles has announced that all 2011 models have been revamped with a Victory Freedom 106/6 V-Twin, a 106-ci paired with a totally redesigned six-speed transmission for increased horsepower and torque. ABS is now standard on all models of Vision Tour and Arlen Ness Signature Series bikes, and the 2011 Ness Signature Serious M models now offer limited edition bikes from three generations of custom bike builders.

“The Toronto Motorcycle Show is one of the few places in Canada where enthusiasts can see all of these top-notch motorized products in one place. It also gives visitors a chance to speak to the experts and manufacturers directly,” said Bond.

One of seven Canadian motorcycle and ATV shows owned by the Motorcycle & Moped Industry Council (MMIC) and Canadian Off-Highway Vehicle Distributors Council (COHV), the Toronto Motorcycle Show marks the official launch of the cross-Canada, seven-city show tour.
