Lucas Oil back with RMR

From Richie Morris Racing

DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- Lucas Oil Products will sponsor Richie Morris Racing once again in 2011, backing both the GEICO RMR Suzuki team in AMA Pro Daytona SportBike with 2009 series champion Danny Eslick and the championship-winning GEICO RMR Bruce Rossmeyer Daytona Racing squad in the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 series.

"It's great that Lucas Oil will be back with us again for 2011," said team owner Richie Morris. "We've had a lot of success with them the past two years and they make a super product that we use and endorse. We use Lucas Oil lubricants in both the Suzukis and the Harleys and they have worked great for us. We are really happy with their line and glad to be a part of their development process."

In 2009, Eslick and Richie Morris Racing took the series by storm, winning six races en route to capturing the inaugural Daytona SportBike crown. Eslick and GEICO RMR Suzuki backed that effort up by adding three more wins and taking 17 top-five finishes in 18 races in 2010. Eslick fought valiantly to repeat as champion and ultimately battled to a runner-up ranking, falling just short of retaining his crown in one of the most exciting and hard-fought AMA Pro seasons on record.

“Lucas Oil Products is thrilled to once again team up with Richie Morris Racing and Danny Eslick in the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike class,” stated Tom Bogner, Director of Motorsports for Lucas Oil Products. “This particular division and series is hands down one of the most exciting types of racing to watch. The competition is truly a dogfight and will often feature 10 riders riding hard for the front positions.

"RMR has been essential in the development and testing of our High Performance Motorcycle Products. I know that with Danny riding the RMR prepared GEICO Suzuki and the bike running on Lucas Synthetic 5W-30 Motorcycle Oil, we all have a terrific shot at winning and taking that championship title back in 2011.”

RMR Bruce Rossmeyer Daytona Racing also claimed the inaugural AMA Pro XR1200 Series in 2010.
