Supermoto season nears kick off

From Scharfe Racing

Scharfe Racing is getting ready for another action-packed Supermoto season. The 2010 campaign was full of drama and the final race and battle of the season between Max Sylvestre and Dave Arnold was a nail biter.

The first big event of the new season is scheduled for April 30-May 1 at the famous Shannonville Motorsport Park on the Nelson Track.

There is a Supermoto School and practice scheduled for April 17 at Shannonville, running from 9:00am-5:00pm. The School is $125 on the Supermoto and Nelson Tracks; practice is $50 on the Supermoto Track.

Supermoto is one of the least expensive forms of motorcycle racing and this year it will be even more economical with a class set up for people to run with motocross wheels and stock brake set up. Just change tires and you will be good to go. There will also be a pavement only Sportsman class for those who are getting a little long in the tooth on motocross style jumps.

The facilities at Shannonville are super with a canteen and clean washrooms with showers.
