Polaris Recalls Kingpin and Jackpot for Backrest Support Problem

Polaris is recalling certain model year 2004-2011 Victory Kingpin motorcycles and model year 2006-2011 Victory Jackpot motorcycles manufactured from January 1, 2004, through May 1, 2011, equipped with accessory seats, part numbers 2876641-01 seat, Kingpin Touring, double backrest and part number 2875961-01 seat, Jackpot Touring w/backrest.

The backrest support can separate from the motorcycle while in use.

The number of units affected is 1688.

Victory Recalls 2011 Cross Country for Handle Bar Problem

Polaris is recalling certain model year 2011 Victory Cross Country motorcycles manufactured from January 1, through April 11, 2011.

The handlebar clamps and/or risers may have been machined incorrectly which could cause the handlebars to slip in the clamps.

The number of units affected is 840.

    "Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII) today announced the acquisition of Indian Motorcycle. The business was acquired from Indian Motorcycle Limited (“IML”), a company advised by Stellican Limited and Novator Partners LLP, U.K. Private Equity firms. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed."

Victory Recalls 2008 Vision Motorcycles for Engine Stalling

Victory has issued a recall of certain 2008 Vision motorcycles.

The terminal nuts that secure the main power supply wires could be loose at the circuit breaker, which can cause an unexpected loss of electrical power to the motorcycle and the current fuel ignition map pre-programmed into the electronic control module (ECM) can cause engine stalling.

2444 units are affected.

Polaris Recalls 2008 Victory Vision for Ignition Switch Defect

Polaris/Victory has issued a recall of certain 2008 Vision motorcycles.

The electrical contact plate on the ignition switch base may not be properly secured to the ignition switch body, which can cause an unexpected loss of electrical power to the vehicle. A loss of electrical power could cause the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a loss of control and a vehicle crash.

1585 units are affected.

Victory Recalls 2008 Vision Motorcycles for Electrical Problem

Victory has issued a recall of certain 2008 Vision motorcycles.

On certain motorcycles, the voltage regulator/rectifier assembly may have an overcharging condition. An overcharging situation in conjunction with the loose battery connection could cause a stalling condition. An unexpected loss of engine power could cause a loss of control of the motorcycle increasing the risk of a crash.

326 units are affected.
