Calgary's Chris Peris placed 24th in a wet opening qualifying session for round 1 of the World Supersport Championship at the Losail circuit in Qatar.
Peris set a time of two minutes, 30.164 seconds on his Team Bikers' Days-Yamaha-Moto1 R6. Teammate Didier Van Keymeulen was 27th, about 0.7 secs. behind Peris in the session, which was held in wet conditions.
