Busy preseason for Daccache

From 53-Racing

OTTAWA, ON - Elie Daccache of 53-Racing had a busy week April 24-May 3. The Ottawa-based racer attended a track day at Barber Motorsports Park before heading to the official Parts Canada preseason testing dates at Jennings GP in Florida.

"I wanted a few solid days of riding to really sort out this new Kawasaki ZX-6R," he explained. "This bike is a rocket on the straightaways with only basic modifications like a Hindle Exhaust. I was able to ride and try some new setups on the bike during the test which was really helpful. I pushed the new BPF forks to the limit. The fork design is far superior to the stock cartridge design, and I was able to push the bike further with these stock BPF forks than I could have with a conventional stock fork."

Daccache then attended the regional race at Shannonville Motorsport Park and was within one second of his previous best time on stock suspension.

"I can't ask for much more," he said. "I improved performance of the motor in the last few days as well as trying to find 'a few more tenths' by adjusting the suspension. The new ZX-6R definitely did not let me down; the suspension was always consistent and I could always feel when I was at the limit. I have a very good platform moving into the first Parts Canada race at Calabogie Motorsports Park and walked away from the regional with valuable points and a lot of data."

Daccache is sponsored by Ottawa Goodtime Centre, Hindle Exhaust, Kanata Collision, Vortex and Canadian Kawasaki Racing.
