Van Hove wins Enduro opener

Chris Van Hove opened the CMA Canadian Enduro Championship with a victory in Turkey Point, ON last weekend.

Now racing for Husqvarna, the Simcoe, ON rider led home four KTMs for the win. Michel Metcalfe of Tres St Redempteur, QC took second and St-Bruno, QC's Patrick Beaule completed the podium.

Allan Lachapelle of Quebec and East Aurora, NY's Garrett Meyer placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

In the Expert class, Guido Knieling of Orillia, ON was the winner aboard a Husaberg. KTM equipment again filled out the podium, with Millgrove, ON rider Eric Langford second and Jeff Stephens of Port Colborne, ON third.

Pierre-Jean Bedard rode a Yamaha to first place in the Intermediate class, ahead of the GasGas of Dunville, ON's Dave Janzen. Greg Filer of Millgrove was third on a KTM.

Other class winners included Paul Andratis of Simcoe, ON (Husqvarna) in Vet Expert, Lance Matthews of Mansfield, ON (Husqvarna) in Super Veteran, Wayne Brogan of Palgrave, ON (KTM) in Veteran, Scott Bonham of Welland, ON in Novice A and Annie Lavoie of St-Constant, QC (KTM) in Women.
