New venue and date for Meg's Ride

From Warren Thaxter

MCC and the International Women Riders Congress and Festival have announced a change in venue and a shift from Saturday, Aug. 14 to Sunday, Aug. 15 for the Meg’s Trail Ride.

After many days of extensive searching in the Huntsville, ON area, organizers could not find enough suitable trails for a quality and enjoyable trail ride. The concept of the Meg’s Trail Ride has always been to host a quality, fun event suitable for all levels of participants regardless of rider ability. The terrain in the Huntsville area is just too rugged and inhospitable for this event.

Thankfully, the Great Pine Trail Riders, www.greatpinetrailriders.com, have graciously offered to combine Meg’s Ride with their Mid Summer Dream Trail Ride on Sunday, Aug. 15. This venue, Ganaraska Forest, is ideal in that the terrain is similar to that of previous Meg’s Rides and green plate off road motorcycles are accepted as are youth riders.

Registration to International Women Riders Congress and Festival includes Meg’s Ride: http://www.iwcf-cfifm.ca/

All posted times for Meg’s ride will remain the same.
