Indy MotoGP tickets go on sale

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Tickets for the 2011 Red Bull Indianapolis MotoGP at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will go on sale Thursday with special, race-themed incentives for selected early customers.

The fourth annual Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP race is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 28.

Race Day general admission tickets will be available, starting at $40 (US). All children 12 and under will be admitted free with an adult general admission ticket holder.

As a special incentive, four fans will win a prize package based on when they purchase tickets Thursday. The first online and in-person ticket purchaser each will be awarded prizes, and the 11th and 26th overall (online or in-person) purchasers Thursday also will be winners.

Fans can buy tickets online at www.imstix.com, call the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area, or visit the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street.

Online orders can be made at any time. Hours for phone orders and the ticket office are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday.
