CMA expands series

HAMILTON, ON -- The CMA has announced that the National Championships for Motocross will include a three-round series for the Expert class.

The event scheduled for Agassiz, BC on Aug. 5-6 will be the one-event Amateur championship and include round 2 of the Expert Championship. Expert class round 1 will take place on June 30, July 1-2 in St-Apollinaire, QC. The third and final round will be held on Sept. 1-3, also in Quebec; location to be announced.

Television coverage is in place for St-Apollinaire.

Expansion of the Expert Championship is a first step in plans to return a round of the World Championships to Canada and to bring the Motocross of Nations here for the first time.

Details of the programme structure and purse for the Nationals will be announced shortly.
