CALGARY, AB -- Kevin Lacombe and Matt Binns will join Clint McBain on the Coors Light Racing Blackfoot Suzuki road race team, according to a press release issued by the squad last Thursday.
All three riders will battle for the Parts Canada Superbike and Hindle Exhaust Pro 600 Sport Bike national titles in 2005.
The 21-year-old Lacombe raced a Yamaha last year with support from Brooklin Racing and won the Parts Canada Superbike round at Atlantic Motorsport Park on his way to third in the final standings. The Granby, QC racer also took 12th in Pro 600 points. He will handle Suzuki GSX-R1000 and GSX-R600 equipment in the national classes.
Binns, the 2003 HJC Pro Rookie of the Year on the national tour made a number of promising appearances on the fledgling Z1 Cycletech Ducati squad in last season's Parts Canada Superbike series. The Uxbridge, ON rider will ride a Suzuki GSX-R600 in the Canadian championship.
McBain returns for his fifth season on the Blackfoot squad. Winner of the Pro 600 national title in 2002, the Calgary ace took fourth in the Parts Canada Superbike series in 2004 and third in Hindle Pro 600 Sport Bike.
