From the Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club
VANCOUVER, BC -- The Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club has announced a five-race series at Mission Raceway Park for the 2005 season. The premier Superbike class will hold two races each day.
In 2003 and 2004 WMRC attracted over 1000 spectators to some of the race weekends. Interest in motorcycle road racing has grown at the Mission facility, located near the banks of the Fraser River. Spectating at the circuit is excellent with grandstands situated at the most exciting corners and close to the pits and other facilities.
The WMRC started in 1959 and enjoyed many years of very competitive racing up at the old Westwood Circuit in Port Coquitlam where the club derived its name.
