Suzuki back as Shootout title sponsor

Suzuki Canada has returned as title sponsor of the 2009 Suzuki Canadian Fastest Streetbike Shootout on Saturday June 20 at Grand Bend Motorplex.

"Having the honour of welcoming Suzuki Canada back is wonderful," said event organizer Graeme Jones. "There's really no better choice for title sponsor of this race. The Suzuki Hayabusa has been the dominant motorcycle every year in the history of this event."

Suzuki racers currently hold all Pro Street records in North America, including the current Canadian Fastest Streetbike Shootout records of 7.441 seconds and 198.89 mph. Suzuki has been on top of the world sportbike drag racing scene since the debut of the Hayabusa in 1999.

The Suzuki Canadian Fastest Streetbike Shootout is in its seventh year of operation. This year, Canada's ultimate Pro Street motorcycle race will be held on Saturday, June 20 at Grand Bend Motorplex (Grand Bend, ON). 'The Shootout' has been host to the quickest (7.441 seconds) and fastest (198.89 mph) Pro Street runs ever made in Canada.
