Lean Angle to distribute MICS

From Lean Angle

OTTAWA, ON – Lean Angle (leanangle.ca), the exclusive Canadian distributor of TechSpec Gripster Grip Pads, has announced that it is now the exclusive Canadian distributor of the Medical Information Carrier System (MICS) for wearers of motorcycle, automotive, and other powersport helmets.

This simple yet extremely important helmet safety system was developed to meet the needs of all motorsports competitors and enthusiasts utilizing protective headgear.

"It is a privilege to have Lean Angle on the MEDS 'Make your helmet a Lifesaver!' Team as our global MICS distributor (excluding USA and South Africa) so together we can help promote safe riding," stated Dr. Lou Gaston, inventor of the device.

The 1x2-inch carrier is located universally on the left rear of the motorcycle helmet. It is protected, yet quite visible, and readily available. Directions on the carrier inform non-medical bystanders NOT to remove the helmet.

Inside the carrier is the location of the medical information data form. Users simply use a pencil to print info on the medical data form. This completed form is waterproof and difficult to tear, ideal for high energy activities.

“In the event of an emergency this simple and effective system will quickly provide life-saving information about the wearer's identity and medical history to paramedics and other trained emergency personnel,” said Steve Reed, president of Lean Angle.

Currently there are over 800,000 carriers in use worldwide. Sportbike enthusiasts and racers have acknowledged the benefits of the Medical Information Carrier System (MICS) for helmets. Toronto-based Pro 6 Cycle will be the first trackday organizer to provide all their trackday riders with the MICS helmet system. And, Pro Canadian Superbike racer Andrew Nelson will be wearing the MICS helmet safety system on his helmet for the balance of the 2010 season.

The Medical Information Carrier System (MICS) for helmets is currently available online at www.leanangle.ca and at an ever-growing network of dealers and online powersport accessory retailers across Canada.
