From Carrera Canada
STIRLING, ON -- Carrera Canada announced today that Calgary road race star Chris Peris will be riding with Carrera GP Leathers sponsorship for 2005.
Sean Girard of Carrera and Fernando Peris (Chris’ dad) conducted the initial negotiations with the final details worked through Martin Thraves of Carrera UK. Thraves has a keen interest in the NorthAmerican market and sees Peris as both an excellent rider and spokesperson for Carrera.
Last year the top three finishers in the Can-Am 125GP series were Carrera riders and the British-based company also outfitted the Diablo Suzuki team, with the exception of Steve Crevier, who is contracted to Joe Rocket.
