BURNT RIVER, ON -- The Burnt River Off-Road Vehicle Facility has been approved for operation, according to a letter from Connie Greenlaw, who had been trying to establish the venture for several years.
The facility will be restricted to operating between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., the letter says, and all off-road vehicles will be subject to a 99dBA sound limit. Sound tests will be conducted on site.
The motocross track will open Apr. 30 and operate from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. The daily fee will range from $15 for riders under 12 years of age to $30. Membership rates will also be available.
An ATV track will be built and should be ready to open May 28, the letter adds. A Hare Scramble course is also in the plans.
More information is available by emailing mxtrack@bellnet.ca.
