The early spring snowstorm that hit portions of southern Ontario has forced the cancellation of the opening round of the CMX motocross season in Port Perry, which was slated for this weekend.
As of late Tuesday afternoon a blanket of snow still covered the track, according to a release from CMX officials, leading to the decision.
Moto Park in Chatsworth, ON apparently fared better, and as a result the track will host an open practice this Saturday and Sunday, with the CMX season now opening at the track Apr. 16-17.
According to the CMX release, Moto Park is offering a $10 discount to all Hypersports Racing members for practice this weekend.
