Kawasaki Bonus bolsters Shootout

Canadian Kawasaki Motors Inc. has returned as a sponsor with the Suzuki Canadian Fastest Streetbike Shootout, Saturday, Aug. 10 at Grand Bend Motorplex.

Highlighting the manufacturer's return is the Kawasaki Bonus Purse, which will see a total of $1500 awarded between the three quickest riders on a ZX-14, ZX-10 or ZX-12. Runs must be made during official qualifying or elimination rounds.

"The Kawasaki ZX-14 is a bike that's bred for the dragstrip," stated event organizer Graeme Jones. "Seeing Kawasaki support their racers with the Bonus Purse is yet another positive sign for motorcycle drag racing across the country."

Some of the fastest Kawasaki teams in Canada and the U.S. are expected to show up for a good old-fashioned rivalry with the Suzuki teams.
