Marcelli to race new RM-Z450

Factory Suzuki/Rockstar /OTSFF Pro rider Peter Marcelli will debut his new #6 Suzuki / Rockstar / OTSFF electronic fuel injected RM-Z450 in the 2008 CMRC Canadian Supermoto Championship.

“This new EFI RM-Z450 is sick," said Marcelli. "I’ve just spent the first weekend testing and getting things sorted at the Batavia Supermoto facility in New York and the bike is bullet proof. The Ryan Gill (Condor Racing) tuned motor is strong and pulls hard. This new EFI application is just what we needed to make this a competitive supermoto bike.”

Over and above the EFi, Marcelli’s bike is equipped with a data management system.

“Ryan Gill at Condor Racing came up with this system and it’s a one of a kind on this bike," added Marcelli. "It actually smooths out the power curve and changes the air/fuel while
you ride, adjusting itself for elevation and air temp.”

Marcelli plans to spend the next few weeks preparing for the first round.

“Now it’s up to me," he said. "I need seat time and more seat time as it’s been since September of 2007 since I’ve been on a supermoto bike. We have a few adjustments to make still with the setup of the bike and the rest is up to me. My good friend and mechanic Jim “Tenacious J” Browne will be there for me this year to help trackside. Jim’s a great guy and a good motivator for me. He will be a great addition to the team.”
