Edie wins in Regina

Bodhi Edie of Warman, SK has a 12-point lead in the Formula GP class after the opening two rounds of the CMA National Mini Road Racing Series.

Edie rode his Honda to a second straight victory in round 2 in Regina June 22, leading home fellow Honda pilots John Lenz and Goran Jablan, both of Saskatoon. Edie now has 30 points to the 18 of Calgary's Jay Fox, who was fourth in Regina.

Fox took over the lead of the Spec Thunder class with a win in Regina on his Honda. Brent Mooney of Saskatoon and Calgary racer Chris Wilson placed second and third, respectively, both on Yamahas. Fox now has 21 points while another Calgary rider, Rob Haynes is second with 16.

Geoff Gerbrandt of Martinsville, SK has a one-point lead over Devin Edie in the Spec Motard class after beating the Warman, SK rider in Regina. Charles Nalder of Okotoks, AB took third in the race and is now third in points.

Gerbrandt also won in Spec Supersport to lead that class over Bodhi Edie and Fox. Fox took second in Regina with Edie third.

Other class winners in Regina included Brooke Ham of White City, SK in Women on a Honda, Saskatoon's Milan Jablan in Youth 7-10 on a Yamaha, and Edmonton's Chris Mah, who swept Youth 10-16, Pocket Bike Open and Pocket Bike 40cc.
