Smith joins HardNox line-up

From HardNox Racing

CALGARY, AB -- HardNox Racing announced on Friday the addition of a new rider to its line-up. Lee Smith will be joining the team as an amateur racer.

The 36-year-old first got involved in racing in 2005 in the Calgary Motorcycle Roadracing Association and quickly moved to the top of the amateur grid. He then semi-retired to pursue a career with the Calgary Fire Department. In the interim Smith has been volunteering with BGPR Schools as an instructor.

With the possible demise of Race City at the end of 2009, Smith was compelled to come back to racing. He will compete in the Mountain Toys Middleweight Amateur Sportbike and Superbike classes.

The HardNox Racing team will next be in action at round two of the CMRA Championship at Race City Motorsports Park this weekend, and in two weeks time for round three of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship in Calgary.
