Lajoie top five in California series

Nadine Lajoie placed third in Formula 40 Middleweight and Formula Femme at the final round of the California State Championship road racing series at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, CA Sept. 19.

The Montreal racer also took eighth in the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club Formula 2 event.

Lajoie ended the season fifth in both Formula 40 Middleweight and Formula Femme, despite missing a round.

The previous day Lajoie had participated in a four-hour endurance race as part of the all-female team of Shandra Crawford, Christie Cooley and Krystyna Kubran. Despite a crash by Kubran the squad placed ninth overall and second in the Middleweight Supersport class.
