No Barber for Szoke

Seven-time Canadian Superbike champion Jordan Szoke is not competing in this weekend's final round of the AMA National Guard SuperBike Championship in Barber, AL.

“We unfortunately just didn’t have the budget to compete this weekend, which really sucks because we were really moving forward with our equipment,” Szoke said in a press release from his Waznie Racing / Ciclo Werks BMC / DeWildt Honda team. “With Mid-Ohio and VIR under out belts we got the time we needed on to go faster. We plan on regrouping for next season, and are working extremely hard starting now to make it happen.”

The 31-year-old from Brantford, ON finished 10th at the Mid-Ohio event in July and added two more 10th place results at Virginia International Raceway the weekend after clinching his fifth straight Parts Canada Superbike title.
