VP official fuel of AMA Flat Track

From VP Racing Fuels

DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- AMA Pro Racing has announced VP Racing Fuels has been chosen to provide spec fuel products for the AMA Grand National Flat Track Series starting in 2009.

As part of a multi-year agreement, AMA Pro Flat Track competitors will be required to use VP’s C12 racing fuel in both the Pro and Expert classes. Plans call for teams to preorder the fuel for each race, with VP to deliver the fuel in five-gallon pails prior to the start of each event. AMA Pro, citing rising fuel costs and a desire to provide a more level playing field with the mandatory use of a spec fuel, chose VP over all other proposals to provide race fuel and technical support.

“We’re excited about our new partnership with AMA Flat Track racing,” said Bruce Hendel, VP’s Western Regional Manager. “VP has been a strong supporter of motorcycle racing in all its forms for most of its 34-year history. With an uninterrupted string of championships over the last several years in all Pro classes of AMA Superbike, Supercross, Motocross and Supermoto, it’s a natural fit for VP to fuel AMA Flat Track.”

“VP fuels have a well-deserved reputation for quality and consistency,” said Mike Kidd, Director of AMA Flat Track. “We’re confident our racers will appreciate the increased power and consistency of VP’s C12 racing fuel.”

The first AMA Flat Track race of the season is scheduled March 4-5 at Daytona Beach as part of Bike Week.

Additional information can be obtained by calling the appropriate VP regional distribution center listed on VP’s website at vpracingfuels.com. Fuel order forms are available by going to amaproracing.com.
