Fogi Racing gets SUPERSHOW support

From Fogi Racing

Fogi Racing has announced a new sponsorship deal with The North American International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW for the 2011 season.

The Fogi Team will appear at the SUPERSHOW in Toronto's International Centre Jan. 7-9. The show is the largest indoor motorcycle show held in North America.

Fogi Racing will show off its machines for the 2011 season, which include three Moriwaki MD250 GP bikes (first showing in Canada) along with Ben Young’s Yamaha YZF-R6 AMA Supersport machine. Young will be there to chat to fans and to do poster signings.

“Fogi Racing is delighted with gaining the opportunity in being onboard with Peter Derry and the SUPERSHOW team," said the squad's crew chief, Scott Young. "This will give us an excellent launch for 2011; we can show the public and potential sponsors what we will be doing for the forthcoming season. As a Canadian team we want to promote ourselves as much as possible and there will be no better place than home ground in Toronto with the SUPERSHOW.

“Things are not set in stone as yet as we have a lot to arrange including new sponsors etc. What I can say is that we are planning for Ben Young to contending in the AMA Supersport Young Guns class in the States. The Moto2 FTR machine will be running in Europe to contend in either and/or both the CEV Buckler Spanish Championship and MotoGP depending who the rider will be.

"The Moriwaki MD250’s GP bikes will be running in the USGPRU (United States Grand Prix Union) and hopefully in the RACE Canadian Regional Championships here in Ontario. We are looking to lease these machines out for the season to young riders from 12 to 16 years of age for them to learn the racecraft of a GP machine."
