Toyota dealer to sponsor Beaton in Toronto

From Don Valley North Toyota

MARKHAM, ON -- Surrey, BC's Kyle Beaton will contest the NAMU Lites Class riding a DVNTYMX YZ250F for the Don Valley North Toyota Yamaha Motocross Racing Team at Rogers Centre in Toronto Saturday, March 29.

"KD Beats", as he is known to fans, has competed in four of the ultra-competitive California rounds of the Supercross Lites West Series this season advancing to main events in San Francisco on Jan. 26 and in Anaheim Feb. 2. He finished 20th and 19th, respectively.

Here in Canada, Beaton clinched series #1 titles in both the PRO AM and PRO OPEN classes of the 2007/2008 Toyota/Yamaha Arenacross Championship.

On Feb. 23 he took top spot on the podium in London, England's 02 Arena winning the PRO OPEN final of the Future West ACU British Supercross Championship.

"I can't wait to come out and race in Toronto," said Beaton, "and I'm very excited to be racing for DVNTYMX. Without their support I wouldn't be racing."

This year's Monster Energy AMA Supercross will include just one Canadian stop. NAMU (North American Motorcycle Union) is an affiliation between the AMA and the Canadian Motorcycle Association to develop joint North American motorcycle sport.

Team officials note that this announcement marks the return to Supercross for Don Valley North on the 20th Anniversary of DVNT sponsored Damon Bradshaw's famous 1988 CNE Stadium win.

Team DVNTYMX consists of six amateur riders who will compete at CMRC events in Ontario showcasing Toyota Trucks in 2008. More details about their program will be released later in March.
