Lajoie sixth in hot Vegas

By John Hopkins

Canadian road racer Nadine Lajoie scored a pair of sixth place finishes in a scorching Las Vegas last weekend, despite the anguish of having her wallet stolen.

She took a sixth in A Superbike (1000cc) and B Superbike (750cc) on her Importations Thibault / Suomy / Elka Honda CBR600RR, and was 15th in C Superbike (600cc)

"Based on my first day and worries due to my stolen wallet, I was happy with my results as times came down by more than four seconds in one day," Lajoie said.

Earlier in June Lajoie had a sixth in Modified Production, 11th in Superbike 600cc and 11th in Formula 2 at Willow Springs Raceway.

Her next event is back at Willow Springs July 18-20.
