Beaule is enduro champ

Patrick Beaule is the 2008 CMA National Enduro champion according to results sent out by the CMA last Thursday.

A victory in the season-ending event in Primrose, ON on Oct. 19 sealed the title in the Masters class for the Ste-Julie, QC rider, who ended the season with 25 points to the 22 of fellow KTM rider Allan Lachapelle. Lachapelle, from Bolton Centre, QC, was third in the final event.

Third in the final standings went to Craig Kennedy of Vienna, ON, who scored 16 points on his Suzuki. Fourth was Martin La Freniere of St-Adolph d'Howard, QC, who rode his GasGas to victory in the season opener at Turkey Point, ON on April 26, and fifth in the standings went to Acton, ON's Mike VandenHoek.

Kal Watson of Brights Grove, ON claimed the Expert title on a tiebreaker with Port Colborne, ON's Jeff Stephens. Both KTM riders ended the season on 18 points.

Guillaume Pronovost of La Tuque, QC and Utopia, ON's Brian Marshall won the two series events and tied for third on 15 points, but the tiebreaker went to Husqvarna rider Pronovost over the Honda pilot.

Eric Langford of Millgrove, ON sealed the Intermediate crown with victory in Primrose on his KTM. Turkey Point winner Tommy Lemonde of La Tuque, QC took second in the standings, also on a KTM and Honda's Denis Aumais of Kengsey Falls, QC was third.

Randy Zuest of Rockwood, ON swept both rounds to wrap up the Vet Expert title on a Husqvarna and Sarnia, ON's Brian West won Super Veteran with a victory in Primrose on his Kawasaki.

Other class champions were Husqvarna rider Steve Young of Port Colborne, ON in Veteran and Dunnville, ON rider David Janzen in Novice A aboard a GasGas. Both secured their titles with victories in the season finale.
