From World Enduro Canada
The first two rounds of the 2009 Royal Distributing Canadian Enduro Championships are in the books. The event was a stellar success. The Full Gas Crew put together a challenging and senic route through the Rocky Mountains with great special tests. All the tests were accesible from the pits area so specators could see the riders in action at every test. The eastern riders who had not ridden out west before got a taste of hill climbing and many of them went back onto the course after the race with their cameras.
The Inside Motorcycles Magazine Top Pro Junior Award was presented to 16-year-old Ryan Durkee from BC. Durkee rode in the E2 class on a Suzuki and was seventh overall in Pro Class on Day 1 and fifth overall on Day 2.
The Rekluse Clutch Extreme Award for the best overall time from both days by an Amateur in the Extreme test went to Yamaha rider Dillon Bucknell who was riding in the A class. Bucknell will recieve a $700 Rekluse Clutch for his efforts.
The top 10 Pros from the weekend all received cheques as part of the Pro Payback program. KTM rider Bobby Prochnau finished first overall and recieved a cheque for $700.
