Edie stays perfect

Bodhi Edie of Warman, SK maintained his perfect record in the Formula GP class of the CMA National Mini Road Racing Championship with a victory in round 3 in Calgary June 29.

Edie rode his Honda to a win over Vancouver, WA's Peter Lenz and Calgary racer Jay Fox, both also on Hondas. Eadie now has a perfect score of 45 points in the class with Fox now second on 26 and Lenz third with 24.

Calgary's Dave Stokowski claimed his second win of the year in the Spec Thunder class and took over the lead in the standings. Conor Matthews was second on a Honda and former two-time Canadian Superbike champion Don Munroe completed an all-Calgary podium in third aboard his Kawasaki.

Stowkowski now has 30 points in the standings to the 29 of Fox, who was fourth in Calgary, with Munroe third on 22.

Geoff Gerbrandt of Martinsville, SK took his Yamaha to a second straight win in Spec Motard and now leads Honda's Devin Edie, who was second in the race, 38-34 in the class standings.

Gerbrandt also leads Spec Supersport despite finishing third behind Lenz and Bodhi Edie in the Calgary race. Gerbrandt has 35 points to the 34 of Edie and the 30 of Lenz.

Other class winners in round 3 were Lexi Pechout of Calgary in Womens, Eden O'Shea of Toronto in Youth 7-10, Calgary's Chris Wilson in Youth 10-16, Lee Kuhn Jr. of Hamilton, ON in Pocket Bike Open and Pocket Bike 40cc, and Lenz in the poorly supported Formula Thunder.
