Blazusiak released from hospital

From KTM Racing

Red Bull KTM Factory rider Taddy Blazusiak, who was injured Aug. 9 during practice for the WORCS X event in Olympia, WA was released from the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Thursday.

Blasuziak is feeling great considering the level of injury he suffered. He underwent a four-hour surgery on Monday to repair the fractured bones in his face. Doctors predict it will take 6-8 weeks until he is fully recovered and can begin to ride again. A 100% recovery is expected.

Red Bull KTM team manager Antti Kallonen has been with Blasuziak through the duration of his hospital stay and has stated, "Taddy is already beginning to recover faster than expected. He is well enough to attend the KTM Dealer Show this weekend and will be able to fly home to Poland as early as next Wednesday."

"It was a big crash and I'm lucky to be okay," Blazusiak said. "It could have been much worse. I am grateful to have full support from my family and KTM through my stay in the hospital. I am hoping to be back on the bike soon."
