Lajoie wins in Las Vegas

From Nadine Lajoie

Nadine Lajoie took the overall win in the new WERA West Women's Supersports Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend. The race included Expert and Novice girls. WERA West decided to help promote girls in the sport and hope to see more and more women embracing the competition.

Lajoie improved her lap times by more than a second over her previous best. She also had good results in the men's races, posting a seventh place in Middle Weight Solo, eighth place in B Superstock and 10th place in C Superstock.

"It was very different having a pit crew with me," Lajoie said. "Usually I'm by myself but this time Robbie Dowie, an ex-racer, helped and did an exceptionally good job making adjustments on the bike. They made a world of difference."

Lajoie's next races will be at Willow Springs in Rosamond, CA and Utah's Miller Motorsport Park in May.

Lajoie is sponsored by Catalyst Reaction, Hipertech, Suomy, Bridgestone, Coolcollegebars.com, Concept Five, TrackDaz, Importations Thibault, Décograph, OK Pneus Médé, Notaire Jean-Guy Savard, JC Transmission, Peak Investments, Lajoie des Finances, Action Motosport and Elka.
