Vintage action at Road America

ELKHART LAKE, WI -- Over 400 classic bikes will participate in the Road America Vintage Motorcycle Classic this weekend, June 10-12, an event sanctioned by the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA). In addition to racing on the legendary four-mile circuit, three off-road courses will feature vintage and post-vintage motocross, cross-country and observed trials.

This year's event will feature a solid line-up of seminar and fan activities with past champions and motorcycle industry experts including Richard Backus, David Bickers, Gary Campbell, Jeff Smith and Bob Vail. In addition, local fans will appreciate mingling with legendary Norton drag racer, Hall of Famer and life-long Kenosha resident Tom (TC) Christenson and his famed Hogslayer drag bike. TC and John Gregory, the designer of the Hogslayer will present seminars and sign autographs.

Collectors will enjoy the vintage motorcycle swap meet where they can shop for bikes, parts, literature and memorabilia from over 50 vendors. Vintage motorcycle clubs and organizations from throughout the region will have booths, display their bikes, sell memberships and club regalia, and have a gathering place for members.

Tickets to the Vintage Motorcycle Classic can be purchased after 7:00am at the Main Gate on Hwy 67. Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Parking, paddock access and grandstand seating are free with every ticket. Fans are encouraged to enjoy Road America's park-like setting with on-site camping, fees apply.
