Giroux goes with BMW

Guy Giroux will be an official BMW Motorrad Canada off-road team rider in 2009.

The multi-time FMSQ champion will defend his crown in the Quebec-based series, and will also compete for the manufacturer in the new Canadian Enduro Championship and take in the first two rounds of the GNCC series in the U.S.

"The last couple of week were really hard to get motivated to go train, but this morning I woke up and jumped straight on my spinner, then drove to the gym. I'm more than pumped," Giroux said. "Can't wait to jump on that new challenge in my career. Big thanks to Norm [Wells] and Chris [Duff] at BMW."
