Bolso takes narrow win

Calgary's Noel Bolso won the final round of the CMA Western Canadian Hare Scrambles series in McLean Creek, AB on Sept. 6 to narrowly scoop the Pro title from Jason Paradis and Jason Schrage.

The KTM rider ended the season with 33 points to the 30 of Caroline, AB's Paradis, who finished second in McLean Creek on a Yamaha. Schrage, from Diamond City, AB, failed to add to his point total and also finished the year on 30 points after winning the first two rounds on his KTM.

Jake Sawatsky of Calgary finished third in the Pro class in the season finale on his KTM.

Greg Bolso picked up the thinly supported Expert class on his KTM with his second victory of the season in McLean Creek.

A second place finish was enough to give Cochrane, AB's Darren Woods the Intermediate crown. The KTM pilot ended the season with 26 points to the 20 of Calgary's Mike Dobovich, who finished fifth in the last round on his KTM.

Edmonton's Luke Sydor won the Intermediate race aboard a Yamaha.

Dylan Cartwright of Calgary took the Vet Expert title with his second straight win on a KTM.

Blair Mackie of Edson, AB won the Veteran race in McLean Creek on a KTM but Black Diamond, AB racer Andy Lethbridge secured the season championship.

Yamaha rider Doug Holmes of Red Deer, AB clinched the Super Veteran crown with his second win of the year.

Dallas Blumhagen of Airdrie, AB and Provost, AB's Cole Dobovich tied on points in the Novice A division, but Blumhagen was declared Western Canadian Champion on his KTM. Calgary's Duane Shea won the final round, also aboard a KTM.

Kurt Layton of Calgary swept the board in the Youth division to take the championship for Kawasaki.
