Team Elka KTM wins La Tuque 12 hours endurance race

La tuque, QC - Last weekend was the annual 12 hours endurance race in La Tuque. Lots of the best off-road riders were present to participate in this unique event. Out of 22 teams registered, 11 rode KTM bikes. The positions on the starting grid were determined by a tire changing challenge where Team Elka KTM, Patrick Beaulé and Jason Thompson from England won easily with a time of 2.17min for the Pro class.

The event was divided in 3 heats of 4 hours. Team Elka KTM took the Holeshot in each heat on their KTM 250 XC prepared by KTM dealer Lethbridge. They came into the competition with a winning spirit and they dominated the event. Even with a 15 minutes penalty and a flat tire, Team Elka KTM finished 63 laps in 737 minutes and they crossed the finish line almost 4 laps in front of Team Lachapelle KTM. KTM dealers Duroy racing and Woody’s Cycle riders Michel Metcalfe and Allan Lachapelle had a great race finishing in 2nd place with a KTM 300 XC despite 2 flat tires.

KTM also dominated the amateur class with a 1st place for Picotte performance team and a 2nd place for Team Moto des Ruisseaux on a KTM 300 XC.
