Canadian women land in Caribbean

From the Pro Honda Oils Women's Cup

The ladies of the Pro Honda Oils Women’s Cup, along with their mechanics and equipment have landed in the Dominican Republic and are preparing for the doubleheader event this weekend at the Autodromo Mobile 1 racing circuit located just outside of Santo Domingo.

A series of media related events are planned early in the week including television interviews and a press conference. This is the first event of its kind in the Dominican Republic and event organizers are preparing for a very large spectator turnout over the two-day event.

Another activity planned for the race weekend is the marriage ceremony of WCC Expert Vanessa Gareau and Dominican-born Franklyn Dominguez, who now resides in Canada and races Pro Superbike in the Parts Canadian Superbike Championship with a Kawasaki support ride. The two meant while Gareau was racing previously in the Dominican Republic.
