Four podiums for Jervis in finale

By John Hopkins

Oliver Jervis picked up four podium finishes, including a race win, in the final round of the Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association season at Seattle's Pacific Raceways Sept. 11-12.

Riding the Zlock Racing Kawasaki ZX-6R the Victoria racer was victorious in one of the two 600 Superbike races, placed second in the other 600 Superbike race and in 600 Supersport, and finished third and fifth in Formula Ultra.

"As we only had the 600 we pushed hard for the results we obtained," Jervis said. "The 600 races were barn burners that saw back and forth action like I've never seen. Despite a mistake I made that I feel cost us the win in one of the races, we managed to win another and get second in the other two races, topping our previous best lap times around Seattle in the process.

"Racing the 600 in the Superbike class left us a little behind the eight ball. Despite this we managed what I feel are some decent results in the premier class."

Jervis ended the season second in the 600 Superbike and 600 Supersport standings, and fifth in Formula Ultra. All three classes were won by Eli Edwards.
