Holden loses New Jersey win

From AMA Pro Racing

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - Following the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Series race at the recent New Jersey Motorsports Park event, two motorcycles were found to be in violation of the rules and have been disqualified from the event as a result.

The No. 3 and No. 33 RMR Racing motorcycles violated rules concerning the modification of equipment and as a result, race winner Jake Holden and third place finisher Kyle Wyman have lost their results, prize money and points for the New Jersey Motorsports Park race.

As a result, P.J. Jacobson, riding the Celtic Racing XR1200 is the winner of the New Jersey Motorsports Park round of the AMA Pro Racing Vance & Hines XR1200 Series. Second place is Steve Atlas riding for HOG Racing and third is Travis Wyman on his Harv's Harley-Davidson Racing XR1200.

"Racing by the rules is a critical element of a spec series such as the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Series and we monitor the machines very closely and we will continue to do so to ensure fair and equal competition," said AMA Pro Technical Director of Competition Al Ludington.

Following the application of the penalties outlined above, no further sanctions will be taken for these specific violations.
