International stars enter endurocross

From the Supermotocross de Montreal

MONTREAL, QC - Following a debut that generated a great deal of attention last year at the Olympic Stadium, the endurocross competition promises to be even more spectacular this time at the Supermotocross Monster Energy presented by Coors Light and Parts Canada/Thor on Oct. 2.

Not only have organizers chosen to make the course more exacting than last year's, they have assembled a highly competitive group that includes Polish rider Bartosz Oblucki and Mike Brown, third in the American World Off-Road Championship Series standings. Also registered is outstanding British rider Jason Thomas, the 2008 Canadian and 2010 FMSQ Champion and a regular on the AMA GNCC circuit. These visitors will face three of the best Canadian EnduroX riders: Geoff Nelson, runner-up in 2010, Ryan Graffunder who finished fifth this year and veteran Quebec rider Guy Giroux, who finished fourth in the 2010 Canadian National Championship Series.

"The first endurocross introduced last year at the Olympic Stadium delighted the crowd. Their response and enthusiasm were noted, as were the ones from the riders, whose comments helped us in the planning of the upcoming Oct. 2 event," explained Jean-Sébastien Roy, the official Supermotocross Monster Energy spokesperson. "The reaction from the Endurocross community on last year's competition was very positive and helpful in drawing top-level and international riders to our 2010 indoors off-road event.

"We reviewed their comments and it compelled us to create a more exacting layout with more spectacular obstacles that should create unexpected situations. We are now entering the major league of endurocross competition and fans will see quite a show. It's guaranteed."

The most-coveted seats for the Supermotocross Monster Energy, as well as all reserved seating, are now on sale with ticket prices at $10.00, $19.00, to $29.00 and $39.00. They are available at Admission (www.admission.com or by calling (514) 790-1245 or 1 800 361-4595). Tickets are also available at participating motorcycle dealers from all regions of Quebec.
