Lajoie second at Fontana

By John Hopkins

Nadine Lajoie scored a second place finish in a Women's Supersport race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on Sept. 5.

Riding her Xsura/Catalyst Reaction-backed Honda CBR600RR, the Montrealer also placed 10th in B Superstock, 10th in C Superbike and 12th in C Superstock.

“Unfortunately, my times were slower than I had planned as they fell short by a second to my best times previously ran on that track,” Lajoie said.

Lajoie is next scheduled to compete in a four-hour endurance race at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, CA this Saturday, Sept. 18. She will be part of an all-female team that will include Shandra Crawford, Krystyna Kubran and Christie Cooley. This weekend's event is the final round of the California State Championship, where Lajoie is fifth in the Formula 40 Middleweight class.
