Top teams confirmed for Infineon test

From AMA Pro Racing

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The first of three officially sanctioned 2009 AMA Pro Road Racing test sessions will be held at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA, April 20-21, and is available to all currently licensed AMA Pro National Guard American Superbike and AMA Pro Daytona SportBike teams.

Open to the public, the test is being administered by Infineon Raceway which is billing the Monday and Tuesday session as the 4th Annual Two Wheel Thunder. Many top American Superbike and Daytona SportBike teams and riders have already confirmed participation with several others expected to commit to the test in the coming days in preparation for their return to the Sonoma Valley in advance of the Kawasaki AMA Pro Superbike Showdown presented by Supercuts, May 15 - 17.

Some of the teams scheduled to attend Two Wheel Thunder include Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki, Rockstar Makita Suzuki, Corona Extra Honda and Foremost Insurance Ducati.

Two Wheel Thunder kicks off the three official tests of 2009 for American Superbike and Daytona SportBike competitors as a key part of new testing policies and regulations that were announced by AMA Pro Road Racing earlier this year. Each of the three official test days will be held at respective tracks in the East and Midwest in addition to the Infineon event that will serve the West. The other tests are tentatively scheduled for Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, June 10-11 and New Jersey Motorsports Park, July 21-22.

Fans will be admitted free to Infineon Raceway both days, but should target Tuesday, April 21, as a must attend. The track will host a rider Q&A session at the lunch break, Supermoto and SBFreaks Street Freestyle demonstrations and special ticket offers.
