Canadian Off-Road team announcement

Airdrie, AB - Husaberg has partnered with A&E Racing (Brooks, AB) to form the first Canadian Off-Road ‘Extreme’ team. Corner Grass Racing Team (CGRT) has been established to enable a long term focused effort aimed at providing world class exposure for world class Canadian riders.

For 2008, the team will focus on ‘Extreme’ competitions held within Canada, USA, and Europe. Team Manager Lee Fryberger remarks, “We have received incredible support from Husaberg North America, Husaberg Europe, and several key sponsors who have made this venture possible. The new generation of extreme off-road competition is the perfect venue to showcase the talents of our Canadian riders. Combine that with the extensive media coverage these events generate and you have a win-win situation.”

Shane Cuthbertson has been selected to contest the Alberta Endurocross Series, Erzberg Enduro, Corner Grass Hare Scramble, Red Bull Romaniacs, Last Man Standing, and select Endurocross USA events. The current Canadian Hare Scramble champion whom recently finished sixth at Red Bull Last Man Standing is a perfect fit for the team. With six Canadian Off-Road championships, two ISDE silver medals, and three World Enduro Championship appearances, Cuthbertson has the abilities and experience to succeed.

Cuthbertson will compete aboard specially prepared Husaberg FE 450 motorcycles with help from Husaberg, A&E Racing, Synoil Fluids, Ronwood, MRSI, Skycap Commercial, Feeding Performance, Quest Inspection, Importation Thibault, Oneal, Fulmer, Pro-Grip, Rekluse, Cyclops Motorsports, LRP, and Sosa Racing.
