Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki teams up with MX for Children

Seattle, WA. - MX for Children, a not-for-profit organization, is pleased to announce American Suzuki’s participation in MX for Children s 2008 fund raising activities. American Suzuki is donating a 2008 RM-Z250 to assist in MX for Children s fund raising events at the Seattle round of the Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, a FIM World Championship. MX for Children will be raffling off the donated RM-Z250 with all funds raised going to Seattle s Children s Hospital. Donations will fund uncompensated care at Children s Hospital and research underway there for treating hydrocephalus - the #1 cause of brain surgery in children.

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing will draw the winning ticket for the RM-Z250 prior to the main event at the Monster Energy® Supercross in Seattle on April 26, 2008. This is the third consecutive year in which American Suzuki and their Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing have stepped up to support MX for Children. This charitable partnership has resulted in close to $25,000 being raised to date for the benefit of Children s Hospital.

We at American Suzuki and Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing are more than happy to provide continued support to MX for Children and the Seattle Children s Hospital, said Mel Harris, American Suzuki Motor Corp.’s vice president of Motorcycle/ATV. Any time Suzuki can give back to the community, we are thrilled to do it. In this particular case, not only do we get to provide much-needed funding to help fight the number-one cause of brain surgery in children, but we are also bringing someone into the exciting sport of motocross by giving away a new Suzuki RM-Z250. It is truly a win-win situation for all parties involved.
